Nama C2 Juicer + Blender Review (2026)

The only Nama machine that juices and blends from one motor

Our Rating 4.2/5
Reviewed by Michael Johnson

Nama sent us the C2 to test, and we gave it a real few weeks in our kitchen. We already use and love the J2, so the appeal was clear. The C2 adds a full blender to the same motor base, one machine doing two jobs. For juicing, it performs exactly like the J2, which is what we expected. The blending is capable for most ingredients; but we use dates heavily in our smoothies and the C2 struggled with them consistently. We ended up going back to our Vitamix strictly for blending. That is an honest limitation worth knowing before you buy.

  • Cold press juicer and blender in one machine
  • Same hands-free 70 oz hopper as the Nama J2
  • Preset blender programs for smoothies, soups, nut milk, and ice
  • Sorbet attachment and Juice + Blend 101 course included
  • 15-year warranty

The J2 is the right call if juicing is your primary focus; it does that exceptionally well at a lower price and smaller footprint. The C2 is the J2 with a full blender added to the same motor base, which is genuinely useful if blending is already part of your routine. Worth the price difference if you will actually use both sides.

Nama C2 Pros and Cons

Where the C2 genuinely delivers and where we ran into real limitations during testing.

Pros

  • Handles both cold press juicing and blending from a single motor base; a real convenience for households that do both regularly
  • Hands-free hopper is exactly the same as the J2; load it and walk away
  • Preset blender programs for smoothies, soups, nut milk, and ice; no guessing at speeds
  • Sorbet attachment included, not an add-on; same with the Juice + Blend 101 course
  • Cold press extraction produces noticeably better yield and lower foam than centrifugal machines
  • 15-year warranty; Nama stands behind it longer than almost any other juicer brand
  • Juicing tested with spinach, kale, celery, beets, carrots, oranges, pineapple, cucumbers, and apples; strong results across everything we put through it

Cons

  • It is big. 21 inches tall and 21 lbs; if your counter is already crowded, this will take over it
  • Most expensive machine in the lineup; the blender capability is real, but so is the price
  • If blending is not part of your routine, you are paying for something you will not use; the J2 makes much more sense
  • The smoothie preset runs a stop/start interval cycle rather than blending continuously; noticeable (and a bit annoying) if you are used to a Vitamix or similarly high-powered blender
  • Struggled to break down Medjool dates and dense dry fruit in our testing; we went back to our Vitamix for those blends

Juicing Performance

The C2’s juicing side is identical to the J2… same hopper, same cold press extraction, same Pure Press technology (but with a different motor base). If you have used the J2 before, nothing here will surprise you. If you have not, the short version is: load whole produce into the 70 oz hopper (soft fruits/veggies at the bottom, harder ones on top), close the lid, and walk away. No plunger, no babysitting, no manual feeding one piece at a time.

Yield is strong across everything we have run through it. Leafy greens come out smooth with no stringy bits. Celery is clean with minimal foam (but still some foam). Beets and carrots process without any clogging but make sure to cut large beets up or the hopper blade might struggle (beets are HARD vegetables). Juice stays fresh for up to 3 days sealed in an airtight container but we’ve pushed it to 5 days with a slight change in flavor (but still tasty).

The juicing side of the C2 is not trying to do anything new. It is just the J2 in a different body… like me, when I finally get my diet and workout program in check. The new part is what sits on the other side of the motor base.

Blending Performance

The blending side of the C2 is where things get more nuanced, and we want to be upfront about what we actually experienced.

We primarily used the smoothie preset during our testing. The way the cycle works: the blade runs for about 20 seconds, pauses for a second, then runs again for another ~10 seconds before stopping. This repeats a few times through the blend.

We understand why it does it… the motor is managing heat load. But having used a Vitamix, which runs continuously after you turn it on, the stop/start pattern of the C2 was noticeable every single time.

The bigger issue for us was blending Medjool dates. We use them quite often in smoothies and the C2 could not break them down the way we needed. It left date chunks the size of a pea which are large enough to chew as we drank and too big to fit through our straws but small enough where it wasn’t that bad. We make smoothies with dates for our toddler and they just wouldn’t fit through the straw of his sippy.

It felt similar to the older Ninja blender in that way; the blade is not quite sharp or fast enough to cut through dense, dry fruit cleanly. We ended up going back to our Vitamix strictly for blending.

For softer ingredients like frozen fruit, bananas, berries, and greens, the C2 does great! If your smoothies do not include dates or similarly dense ingredients, you will not run into this. But it is worth knowing before you decide between the C2 or keeping a separate dedicated blender and only buying the J2.

Who Should Buy the Nama C2

The C2 makes the most sense for households that juice and blend regularly and want to manage fewer appliances. Green juice in the morning, smoothies a few times a week, soups and nut milk when you get to it… the C2 can handle all of it from one spot on the counter.

If your smoothie routine is mostly frozen fruit, bananas, berries, and greens, the blending side will work well for you. If you rely on dates or similarly dense dry fruit (raisins, craisins, some hard nuts), be aware that the C2 struggled with those in our testing and we ended up going back to our 15-year-old Vitamix for blending.

But the C2 is not the right machine for you if you mainly juice. The J2 does that at a lower price and takes up less space. If you are new to cold press juicing and want to start without committing to the C2’s price, the J2 is where we would point you first.

Final Verdict

We tested the C2 for several weeks and here is where we landed honestly.

The juicing side is exactly what you would expect from Nama… pure excellence! It performs identically to the J2, which is still our daily driver and one of our favorite appliances in the kitchen. Strong yield, quiet operation, hands-free hopper. No complaints there.

The blending side is functional but not a true high-powered blender replacement. The smoothie preset runs on an interval cycle that took some getting used to, and we ran into real limitations with dates and other dry fruit. We ended up going back to our Vitamix strictly for blending; that tells you something honest about where the C2 lands against a dedicated blender.

That said, if your smoothie routine does not rely on dates or similarly tough ingredients, the C2 is genuinely capable and the convenience of one machine is real. For juice-focused households that also blend occasionally with softer ingredients, it makes a strong case. Just go in knowing it is not going to outperform a dedicated Vitamix on the blending side.
